Mom – Stroke
March 12, 2021 – My Mom had a stroke caused by high Blood pressure brain bleed (hemorrhage) for which it was too risky to do neurosurgery. It was a very dangerous wait and see situation. Luckily, there were no seizures, but it left her with full left side paralysis. Besides having high blood pressure, she was also diagnosed with orthostatic hypotension, which caused her BP to drop when sitting up. This delayed her rehabilitation recovery, but she worked hard once she was there.
April 16, 2021 – After 10 days in in the hospital, 3 weeks in Acute Rehab and then 2 days back in the hospital, Mom finally came back home.
